In 2012, as part of the 20th Anniversary celebration of AMTE, the Board of Directors established an award in honor of Susan Gay (former President and current Conference Director) to support doctoral students and early career mathematics educators to attend the Annual Conference of AMTE.
The AMTE “20 for 20” campaign was a great success! Now, we want to continue our support and outreach to these emerging mathematics teacher educators.
On behalf of the AMTE Board, we ask you to consider contributing to the Susan Gay Graduate Student Conference Travel Scholarship Fund. Our goal is to raise $20,000 to support this fund in an ongoing way. If each member contributes $20, we will meet this goal. Of course, we are happy to accept additional support if that is possible.
To contribute, simply go to the Susan Gay Graduate Student Conference Travel Scholarship - Donation Form. Please note that AMTE is a 501(c)(3) organization and as such, your donations may be tax-deductible. Consult with your tax advisor for more information.
Thank you so much for your loyal support of AMTE and of emerging mathematics teacher educators in this way. We look forward to seeing you and the recipients of this scholarship fund at our annual conference.
