SUMMARY AND OVERVIEW:
The Springfield Empowerment Zone Partnership (SEZP) is seeking exceptional math educators with demonstrated success delivering high-quality math instruction and building strong relationships with students. Candidates must believe that all children can succeed academically and this belief must drive him or her to focus relentlessly on student achievement.

SEZP is a partnership between Springfield Public Schools (SPS), the Springfield Education Association (SEA), and the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. The Empowerment Zone consists of 8 public middle schools, serving over 4,400 students, in Springfield, and is governed by a 7-person board.

SEZP seeks to dramatically improve educational opportunity for Springfield students. SEZP believes that individual schools are the unit of success in education, and thus has partnered closely with SPS and the SEA to ensure that each school has the necessary autonomy and flexibility to create the best educational environment for its students.
