Job Description or Duties: The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Nebraska Kearney is accepting applications for an Assistant Professor, tenure track position, beginning August 2016. Teaching assignments will include undergraduate content courses in mathematics education for early childhood, elementary, and secondary mathematics majors. Other duties include research in mathematics education, and departmental, college, and university service.

 

Required Qualifications: Applicants must have a Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Mathematics Education, and must be committed to excellence in teaching, research, and university service. The successful applicant must incorporate pedagogical content knowledge into mathematics courses and should have interest in building positive and productive relations with local schools, the UNK Teacher Education Department, and professional mathematics education organizations.

 

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in teaching mathematics at the K-12 level is preferred.
