Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor of Mathematics

Washington State University Tri-Cities seeks qualified applicants for a Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor of Mathematics and Director of Learning Commons. The successful applicant will oversee the development, coordination and implementation of services for the academic development and enhancement of students at Washington State University Tri-Cities. The applicant will also teach up to two core foundational Mathematics/Statistics courses each semester. Scholarly research leading to publication in the candidate’s area of expertise with service to the university, campus and department is required.

Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. in Mathematics or Mathematics Education with research interest in best practices of high-engagement teaching and learning at the collegiate level. Minimum of two years of demonstrated administrative experience in a student tutoring or learning center and/or academic success programs. Minimum of two years of demonstrated teaching excellence at the university level.

Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated experience with cross-departmental projects and collaboration at the university level.
