The Department of Teaching and Learning at WSU Tri-Cities in Richland, WA invites applications for a permanent full-time tenure-eligible faculty position with 9 month academic appointment at the assistant professor level for its expanding mathematics education program to begin August 16, 2017.
Duties include: Conduct scholarly research in mathematics education; secure external funding to support the research and professional development missions of WSU; teach graduate and undergraduate courses in mathematics education and undergraduate mathematics courses such as Pre-Calculus and College Algebra; participate in an interdisciplinary team committed to effective teacher education and doctoral student mentoring; develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with professionals in schools, university peers, and community agencies; and initiate and participate in mathematics education activity at the local, state, and national levels.
