Description
The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses for early childhood, elementary and secondary education programs. Additionally, the successful candidate will work collaboratively with university faculty and staff, as well as field teachers from rural and urban K-12 schools. Faculty workload includes teaching, advising, professional service, and supervision of students in field experiences and student teaching. Education programs at the University of Montana Western support a constructivist learning model, with emphasis on experiential education and research into practice.
Required Qualifications
The successful candidate will:
- Hold an earned doctorate in mathematics education or related field.
- Five or more years successful teaching in P-12 schools
- Effective leadership and service, the ability to work collegially with others, and to use technology to support instruction
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous success in college instruction
- Successful online teaching
- A willingness to travel to satellite sites
