The Department of Mathematical Sciences is seeking applications for a full-time tenure track faculty position in Mathematical Sciences, beginning August 19, 2022.  The length of the probationary period, normally seven years, may be reduced for the exceptional candidate.
 
Specific duties as a faculty member include teaching content and methodology courses for prospective and practicing teachers at the elementary, middle school, secondary, and community college levels; scholarship; service.

Minimum Qualifications: Doctorate in mathematics education, or closely related field from an accredited institution by date of appointment, with at least 18 graduate semester hours of coursework in mathematics content and/or mathematics pedagogy; current or previous K-12 teaching licensure or certification; at least two years of K-12 teaching experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Doctorate in mathematics education and a bachelor’s degree or higher in a mathematical science from an accredited institution and by date of appointment; experience or interest in teaching online courses; experience implementing and teaching culturally sustaining pedagogy; scholarship relevant to mathematics education; experience or interest in partnering with public schools.

 

Required Certifications/Licensures: Current or previous teaching K-12 licensure or certification.
