The Coordinator, Foundational Math is a 10-month full-time faculty position, open rank, in the Fine School of the Sciences with administrative responsibilities for the co-requisite and foundational math courses, including orienting, observing, and mentoring course faculty and leading assessment of the foundational courses. The position serves as a member of the Foundational Studies Team, chaired by the Director, First Year Experience, and works closely with the Office of Student Success on placement, tutoring, and other student support areas. A 25% course release per semester is awarded in recognition of the administrative responsibilities of the position. Teaching responsibilities include foundational and co-requisite math courses. Teaching load and related faculty responsibilities are commensurate with rank and include, but are not limited to, scholarship and service activities. Additional responsibilities include facilitating the implementation of the university’s general education Quantitative Literacy requirements. The Math Coordinator fulfills all responsibilities of a full-time faculty member as defined in the Stevenson University Policies and the School of the Sciences Full-Time Faculty Job Description. Faculty rank is commensurate with credentials and experience.
