The University of Wyoming’s College of Education and the UW Science and Mathematics Teaching Center (SMTC) invite applications from dynamic, qualified candidates with a strong background in and commitment to K-12 Math Education. This position supports the UW Science and Mathematics Teacher Center’s Middle-level Mathematics Master of Science in Natural Science program and K-12 Math education outreach for in-service teachers. May also teach selected courses in the Mathematics Education Ph.D. program and undergraduate preservice mathematics education courses.
This position emphasizes work with rural Wyoming schools, developing and providing mathematics-related professional development to teachers across the state of Wyoming. The successful candidate will collaborate with the science professional development team and coordinate the middle-level mathematics graduate program. The successful candidate will be expected to engage in academic scholarship, including grant writing and conducting/publishing research in mathematics education and advising graduate students.
