At the undergraduate level, she collaborates with prospective elementary teachers to gain understandings of their views of mathematics teaching and children’s mathematics learning. She encourages prospective teachers to explore their life experiences and relationships for insights into how these inform their ways of interacting with mathematics-learners as humans and mathematicians. At the graduate level, she collaborates with future mathematics teacher educators, encouraging them to gain insight into their passions and use their mathematics education scholarship to inform their growth as teachers.
