Summary of Recent Affiliate Accomplishments and Upcoming Activities:

We are proud to be celebrating our 10th anniversary as an affiliate.  The year was kicked off with a special session at the Conference for the Advancement of Mathematics Teaching in Houston in July.  Our 2019 Fall conference was hosted at Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, Texas.  The conference theme was “Implementing the AMTE Standards for Preparing Teachers of Mathematics” including a virtual panel featuring Michael Steele, Christine Browning, Nicole Rigelman, Travis Olson, and Marilyn Strutchens. We are currently in a membership drive to reach 100 members by the end of our anniversary year.
