Alyson Lischka is an Associate Professor of Mathematics Education in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Middle Tennessee State University. Her research focuses on teachers’ development of effective mathematical teaching practices, including the ways in which mathematics teacher educators support this development. Lischka was a primary investigator on a six-year professional development grant which served over 200 teachers in the middle Tennessee area and is a co-PI on the NSF IUSE MODULES2 grant, developing curriculum materials for upper-level content courses for secondary teachers. She currently serves on the steering committee for PME-NA, on the leadership team for the Mathematics Teacher Education Partnership, and is concluding a term on the AMTE Connections Editorial Panel. In addition, Lischka served as an editor on the third and fourth volumes in the AMTE Professional Book Series.
