Phi Nguyen is a doctoral student at the University of Missouri pursuing a PhD in Learning, Teaching and Curriculum with an emphasis in Mathematics Education. She is currently teaching undergraduate preservice teaching methods courses and assisting with the analysis and write up for several research projects. Her research interests include issues of math education leadership and policy and preservice teachers’ perceptions of program coherence. In particular, she is interested in the math-related problems leaders frame and the leadership of elementary mathematics specialists.
