Francis Marion University and the Department of Mathematics invite applications for an Assistant Professor of Mathematics position in statistics with the areas of mathematics and mathematics education (for which at least 18 hours in graduate courses in mathematics is required) also considered.

Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching, university service and scholarship. Generous professional development and summer research stipends are available on a competitive basis for tenure and tenure-track faculty.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. by date of employment. Substantial experience in teaching is preferred, and a strong commitment to excellence in teaching is required. Duties include teaching undergraduate courses with activities in scholarship and service expected.
