The School of Education seeks an assistant or associate professor (tenure-track) with expertise in Elementary Science and/or STEM Education to teach courses and maintain an empirical program of research relevant to these areas. The individual hired for this position will serve the school’s Department of Curriculum and Instruction and mentor both undergraduate and graduate students in Science/STEM Education. This new hire will contribute to the school’s efforts to build capacity for STEM Education.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establishing and maintaining an active research agenda relevant to elementary science and/or STEM education.
  • Seeking and securing grant funding to support programmatic research and outreach activities.
  • Teaching graduate and undergraduate courses.
  • Recruiting and mentoring graduate students.
  • Engaging in service to the profession and to the department, school, and university.
  • Strengthening outreach efforts to the greater learning community through professional development and synergistic collaboration.

SALARY AND BEGINNING DATE: The salary will be commensurate with qualifications and professional experience. The anticipated date of appointment is August 1, 2025.
