Biography
In Fall 2017, Mrs. Rosencrans began her third year as a graduate student in the Math Education Ph.D. program at Portland State University, Portland, OR. Portland State has a demanding academic program with a focus on undergraduate mathematics education research. Her previous experience teaching high school mathematics and teaching content courses in mathematics to prospective elementary teachers inspired her pursuit of a doctorate in mathematics education. After working for two years as a Graduate Research Assistant for a large professional development research project supporting elementary school teachers, she is excited to return to teaching prospective teachers as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. Her research interests include preparing teachers to teach for social justice, and program design to support this preparation.
