Supplementary Materials for AMTE Standards
The Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators (AMTE, 2017) clearly articulates expectations for beginning mathematics teachers in Standards for Preparing Teachers of Mathematics. Overall, the Math Work Station Assignment has a teacher candidate a) plan/create a math work station, b) observe how students engage with mathematics at the station, and c) reflect on students’ mathematical thinking from the station.
