Location
Elementary School District 159 is located in the south suburbs of Chicago in Matteson, IL. There are four elementary and one middle school along with a STEAM Center that comprises our district. Please see the qualifications for the position below.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Middle School Math Endorsement (Grades 6–8).
- Strong content knowledge and understanding of math pedagogy for middle school learners.

Proficiency with educational technology and digital learning platforms.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Demonstrated commitment to equity, student success, and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience teaching middle school math.

Familiarity with MTSS/RTI, student goal setting, and small group instruction.

Knowledge of data analysis to inform instruction and support student growth.
