The University of Nevada, Las Vegas is a growing research institution that is moving towards top tier research status. The mathematics education faculty has ongoing research projects in mathematics curricula, STEM, and the use of technology in mathematics classrooms. We currently have multiple state-funded Mathematics Science Partnership grants, a Title2 Higher Ed grant, and an NSF-funded grant. We have a group of four doctoral students that will be graduating in the next year, so we are in a position where we have more graduate assistantships (teaching and research) than we can fill. We have funding! In the history of our doctoral program, every full-time doctoral student in mathematics education has been funded.
