*Supplementary Materials for AMTE Standards*

The Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators (AMTE, 2017) clearly articulates expectations for beginning mathematics teachers in *Standards for Preparing Teachers of Mathematics*. An assignment that mathematics teacher educators can utilize to assess some of AMTE’s candidate standards is the Math Work Station Assignment. Overall, the Math Work Station Assignment has a teacher candidate a) plan/create a math work station, b) observe how students engage with mathematics at the station, and c) reflect on students’ mathematical thinking from the station.
