The Dept of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA is hiring two 1 year, renewable postdoctoral teaching and research positions. It is open to all disciplines of math and includes math education, as we have 3 math ed tenure track faculty in the department. Rani Satyam is taking postdoc applicants.

Teaching duties: Two courses of introductory mathematics (such as pre-calculus or college algebra) per semester using active learning strategies in a coordinated setting.

POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

Dr. Yasemin Copur-Gencturk at the Rossier School of Education at the University of Southern California is seeking one or two postdoctoral fellows to work on several projects on teacher learning mathematics for teaching. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual with a Ph.D. in mathematics education or learning sciences who wishes to develop learning materials and analyze data using qualitative and/or quantitative methods.
