The 30th Annual Conference will be held at the Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront located in Portland, Oregon. We are excited to gather with AMTE members for this annual event. AMTE Conference hotel room block is still available. You can make your reservation using the dedicated reservation link.
Information about transportation from the Portland International Airport (airport code PDX) is available on the airport website. There is a TriMet Max Light Rail (Red Line) that runs every 15 minutes from the airport to a couple of blocks from the hotel (get off at Morrison/SW 3rd Ave stop and it is a half mile walk to the hotel). You can tap your credit card (see photo) before boarding. The cost each way is $2.80.

Opening Session begins at 8:00 a.m. Breakfast and lunch are provided, along with dessert during the afternoon poster session. These food options are included with the registration fee. Dinner is on your own.
Session highlights
- The Opening Session will begin at 8:00 a.m. titled "The Future We Teach For: Strengthening our Collective Voices and Actions in Mathematics Teacher Education." The panelists include Katey Arrington, NCSM: Leadership in Mathematics Education and The Charles A Dana Center; Kyndall Brown, University of California, Los Angeles; Rachael Brown, Penn State Abington; and Jennifer Wolfe, University of Arizona.
- The annual Poster Session will take place from 3:00 - 4:15 p.m. Dessert will be available during this session.
- The Advocacy and Emerging Issues session will be held from 4:30 - 5:30 p.m
Friday – February 6th, 2026
Breakfast, lunch, and dessert during the afternoon break will be provided and are included with the registration fee. Dinner is on your own.
Session highlights
- Gather with your affiliate members during the Affiliate breakfast beginning at 7:00 a.m.
- AMTE Business meeting will be held during lunch at 12:00 p.m.
- Beginning at 4:30 p.m., the Judith Jacobs Lecture titled “Preparing Teachers for Modern Mathematics Curriculum: The Role of Mathematics Teacher Educators in Teaching and Learning About Data” will be given by Hollylynne S. Lee, Distinguished University Professor of Mathematics and Statistics Education in the Department of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Education at the North Carolina State University.
Saturday – February 7th, 2026
Breakfast and lunch are included with the registration fees. In addition, there will be Post Conference Sessions sponsored by TDG (Teacher Development Group) starting at 1:45 p.m and ending with a closing keynote session from 4:15 - 5:00 p.m. All who attend the AMTE conference are welcome to stay and participate in these afternoon sessions sponsored by TDG.
