The Episcopal Academy is a PK-12 coed day school located in Newtown Square, PA. The school was founded in 1785 and in 2008 moved to a brand new campus in the western suburbs of Philadelphia, where it offers state of the art facilities and outstanding opportunities for both teachers and students.

The Episcopal Academy seeks a Middle School Mathematics teacher who brings teaching expertise, outstanding interpersonal skills and an ability to connect with students to his/her work.  We are a school that pursues the teacher, coach, advisor model and the collective responsibilities of this position will include advising and some coaching outside of the teaching role.  The department consists of experienced teachers who share a vision for developing clear thinking and an appreciation for the elegance of mathematics both as a language and as a methodology. The successful candidate will have shown success in teaching various levels of Middle School Mathematics. He or she should be able show their dedication to pursuing the creative and effective use of technology and varied teaching methods, including teaching effective executive functioning skills. He or she must also be passionate about collaborating with colleagues and sharing and generating excitement for new ideas. Candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills and a passion for teaching and directing middle school students.  The ideal candidate would be open to taking on leadership responsibilities in the future.  Degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education and/or comparable professional experience is preferred.
