Tenure-track faculty position in the Department of Mathematics at the Assistant Professor level. Primary responsibilities relate to teaching undergraduate mathematics courses, including implementing effective teaching strategies and developing curriculum. Scholarly activity and university service are also expected.

The teaching load is 24 semester credit hours per academic year, and this may include mathematics courses for General Education students, mathematics majors, and prospective mathematics teachers. Scholarly activity that results in peer-reviewed publications, service to the university and department, and curriculum assessment and development will also be expected.

Preference will be given to Mathematics Education, particularly with an emphasis in Secondary Education. If the doctorate is in Mathematics Education, the equivalent of 18 graduate hours in Mathematics is required. ABD will be considered if Doctorate degree is conferred by start date.
