The Department of Mathematical Sciences is seeking applications for a full-time faculty position in Mathematical Sciences beginning August 18, 2023.

Position Function: Primary instructional responsibilities include teaching courses in mathematics education and other courses as assigned. Responsibilities for this position involve teaching twelve credit hours per semester and professional service.

Additional teaching opportunities in summer generally available.

Evidence of high-quality teaching, continuing professional development, and significant service are necessary to be eligible for reappointment.

Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in mathematics education or closely related field from an accredited institution by date of appointment, with at least 18 graduate semester hours of coursework in mathematics education or mathematics; current or previous teaching licensure or certification; at least two years of K-12 teaching experience.

Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications: Teaching experience at the college level in undergraduate classes.  Master’s degree in mathematics education or mathematics by date of appointment. Doctorate degree in mathematics education with experience or interest teaching online. Interest in partnerships with local schools. Experience with culturally relevant pedagogy.
