The Department of Mathematical Sciences has a full-time contract faculty position as Assistant Lecturer or Assistant Teaching Professor of Mathematical Sciences (Mathematics Education Specialization) beginning August 18, 2023.

Teaching approximately 12 hours per term of mathematics education or mathematics courses, depending on Department needs and applicant qualifications. Pursue a program of professional development and perform service activities for the Department.
Evidence of high-quality teaching, continuing professional development, and significant service are necessary to be eligible for reappointment.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree in mathematics education or closely related field from an accredited institution by date of appointment, with at least 18 graduate semester hours of coursework in mathematics education or mathematics; K-12 teaching experience.
 
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

Teaching experience at the college level in undergraduate classes. Doctorate degree in mathematics education. Experience or interest teaching online. Interest in partnerships with local schools. Demonstrated capacity to work with diverse students as well as to prepare future educators to work with diverse populations.
