Position Function:

Ball State University is seeking applications for a full-time tenure track faculty position in Mathematical Sciences, beginning August 16, 2024. Specific duties as a faculty member include teaching content and methodology courses for prospective and practicing teachers at the elementary, middle school, secondary, and community college levels; scholarship; service.

Minimum Qualifications:

Doctorate in mathematics education or closely related field from an accredited institution by date of appointment, with at least 18 graduate semester hours of coursework in mathematics content and/or mathematics pedagogy; K-12 teaching experience.

Employer will consider sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

Current or previous teaching K-12 licensure or certification; scholarship and/or teaching experience relevant to elementary mathematics education; scholarship and/or teaching experience relevant to preparing future educators to engage with diverse populations and culturally sustaining pedagogy; experience and/or interest in online teaching; experience and interest in partnering with public schools; bachelor’s degree or higher in mathematical science.
