Assistant Professor, Mathematics Education
Description
University of Houston-Clear Lake (UHCL) invites applications and nominations for a tenure- track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level for Mathematics Education.
Duties:
- Teach graduate and undergraduate courses in mathematics education.
- Teach doctoral level STEM courses.
- Advise graduate students and serve on thesis/dissertation committees.
- Establish and maintain a scholarly research, publication record.
- Provide service to the university, profession, and community.
- Work cooperatively with area public schools.
Qualifications
Required:
- A doctorate in mathematics education or related field with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in mathematics .
- A minimum three years of full-time U.S. K-12 public or private school teaching experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Desired:
Experience teaching mathematics methods courses at the university level.
Experience integrating technology to support teaching and learning.
An active record of publications/presentations commensurate with experience.
