This is a full-time teaching position located at the University of Maine at Machias. 

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching 12 credits of math courses each Fall and Spring semester in support of the general education curriculum, and other majors requiring specific quantitative skills.  Courses will be a combination of algebra, precalculus, calculus I and II, applied statistics, and non-majors math.  Courses will be taught in-person, asynchronous, and/or distance synchronous depending on student needs.  

 

In addition to instruction, this person will be expected to participate in service to the campus through committee work and student advising.

Required: 

  • Master’s or higher in math education, mathematics or closely related field.
  • Professional experience teaching mathematics particularly to non-majors.
