LECTURER – Dept. of Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science at UIC
The Department of Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science at UIC expects openings at full and/or part-time Lecturer positions available Fall 2022. Each position is responsible for teaching general mathematics, computer programming, statistics, and/or mathematics education courses, advising and assisting students, and supervising teaching assistants, as needed.
Qualifications include experience teaching mathematics, computer programming, statistics, and/or math education at the University or College level, and a Master’s Degree in mathematics or a related discipline. Applicants should be qualified to teach a range of undergraduate courses in math, statistics, computer science, and/or math education. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience with and/or a commitment to innovative student-centered teaching methods, such as active learning. These appointments would be for a single semester or entire academic year, ranging from 33% to 100%; they are not tenure-track appointments. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
