Elections for AMTE offices and Board of Directors are held each fall and voting is conducted online. There is a regular election for officers and board members:
- A President-Elect is elected every two years, odd-numbered years
- Treasurer and Secretary are elected separately in a three-year cycle
- A Member-at-Large on the Board is elected every fall; term of service is 3 years
