AMTE is pleased to announce award winners who are recognized for a variety of outstanding contributions to mathematics teacher education. More information about all of the award winners can be found on the Awards page of the AMTE website.

The 2022 Susan Gay Conference Travel Scholarship, named after Susan Gay in honor of her service to AMTE over many years, will provide financial support for four graduate students to attend the 2022 Annual Conference. The recipients are:

• Kristin Doherty (Michigan State University)

• Jennifer Gonzalez (Baylor University)

• Mariya Rosenhammer (Auburn University)

• Johana Thomas Zapata (Washington State University)

The National Technology Leadership Initiative (NLTI) Fellowship recognizes exemplary presentations at the AMTE Annual Meeting related to integration of technology in core content areas. The 2022 NLTI Fellowship has been awarded to Jennifer M. Suh, Kate Roscioli, Holly Tate, and Kimberly Morrow-Leong (George Mason University) for their session, Transformative Technology for Equity-centered Instruction.

As previously announced, the following award winners will be recognized at the 2022 Annual Conference, and will give featured presentations:

• Sandra Crespo (Michigan State University), Judith Jacobs Lecturer

• Tim Hendrix (Meredith College), recipient of the Nadine Bezuk Excellence in Leadership and Service Award

• Cathery Yeh (Chapman University), recipient of the Early Career Award (will present at the 2023 conference)

Also recognized at the 2022 Annual Conference will be:

• Carrie Lee (East Carolina University), recipient of the Mathematics Teacher Educator Outstanding Reviewer Award

• Carolyn Anderson (Gurnee, IL), Christie Lee (Sherwood, OR), and Taylor Pierce (Eureka, MO), recipients of the Elementary Mathematics Specialist Scholarship, which supports mathematics teachers to enhance their mathematics knowledge, teaching, and leadership.
