New AMTE Vice Presidents Announced

The AMTE Board is excited to announce the appointment of two new Vice Presidents who will begin their 3-year terms at the 2023 Annual Conference. Between now and the conference, both will shadow the current VPs of their divisions.

Michelle Stephan, Associate Professor of Mathematics Education at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte, has been named the new VP of the Membership Division. Michelle played an active role in establishing the North Carolina AMTE affiliate and served as the organization’s first president. She has previously served AMTE as the AVP for the Affiliate Connections Committee and a member of the Membership Task Force. She will replace Lisa Poling.

Rick Hudson, Associate Professor of Mathematics at the University of Southern Indiana, has been named the new VP of the Professional Learning Division. Rick served on the Annual Conference Program Committee from 2015-2022 and as the AVP of the committee for the 2021 conference. He will replace Jennifer Suh.
