Spring 2025

What an amazing conference hosted in Reno this year! We hope that the energy and learning from it has inspired you during this Spring semester. This issue of AMTE Connections looks back on all the work at the conference but also looks forward. Our new president, Farshid Safi, continues the discussion on moving beyond transactional relationships, and STaR Fellows discuss their work around the 5 Practices. And don't forget it's never too early to think about the 2026 conference in Portland. The proposal portal opens in April!

Winter 2024

As 2024 comes to an end, we have so much to share and so much to look forward to. In this edition of AMTE Connections, we share a variety of contributions including using AI, using simulations to train coaches, and an examination of what we mean by community. Also take a moment to congratulate our many recent award winners. Looking forward to 2025 reminds us that the conference is just around the corner, and we have included the latest updates. Fall 2024

The 2024-2025 school year is under way, and we are excited to share so many opportunities! In this issue of Connections, we share our second set in a series of articles around Artificial Intelligence in Mathematics Teacher Education. We also share calls to write for the Mathematics Teacher Educator, join the Equity Book Club, and apply to the STaR program. And don't forget the annual conference is coming in February, and now is the time to start planning your attendance. Enjoy a busy but fulfilling month of September!

Summer 2024

As we say goodbye to the 2023-2024 school year, it's a great time for thought and reflection. This summer's edition of AMTE Connections intends to provide just that. We have our first set of articles around Artificial Intelligence and Mathematice Education. As we explore teaching ideas on artificial intelligence as well as its ethical and equity issues, we hope to provide new ideas for you to consider in your teaching and research. This issue also features a piece by Hyunyi Jung, AMTE's Early Career Award winner. And, don't forget to consider contributing to the journals that AMTE provides as we continue to learn and grow. We hope you have a restful, rewarding, and productive summer!
