The Department of Mathematics at Oklahoma State University invites applications for a Clinical Faculty position, beginning in fall 2017. This non-tenure-track position offers an initial three-year appointment that is continuously renewable following positive annual review. A Masters degree in mathematics or mathematics education is required; however, a Ph.D. in one of these areas and an interest in Mathematics Education Research are highly desirable. Duties include supervision/coordination of our multi-section course serving as an entry-level for non-STEM degree students primarily with career interest in Business, social sciences or health sciences. Additional opportunities include supervising corequisite sections of the course along with the associated Learning Assistants, facilitating professional development of graduate teaching assistants, supervising instructors in curriculum development, instructional innovation, and communication with client departments regarding course content and expectations. Candidates must have a record of excellence in teaching college-entry-level mathematics, commitment to learning and success for all students, strong leadership abilities, and outstanding interpersonal skills. Candidates who also wish to maintain an active career in mathematics education research are able to have part of their assignment in research. All applicants must submit a curriculum vita, a statement of teaching experience and philosophy, and four-five reference letters. Three reference letters should appraise the applicant’s teaching experience and abilities and, if interested in a partial research assignment, two letters should appraise the applicant’s research.
