LECTURER – Dept. of Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science at UIC

 

The Department of Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science at UIC expects openings at full and/or part-time Lecturer positions available Fall 2022.  Each position is responsible for teaching general mathematics, computer programming, statistics, and/or mathematics education courses, advising and assisting students, and supervising teaching assistants, as needed.  

 

Qualifications include experience teaching mathematics, computer programming, statistics, and/or math education at the University or College level, and a Master’s Degree in mathematics or a related discipline.  Applicants should be qualified to teach a range of undergraduate courses in math, statistics, computer science, and/or math education.  Preference will be given to candidates who have experience with and/or a commitment to innovative student-centered teaching methods, such as active learning.  These appointments would be for a single semester or entire academic year, ranging from 33% to 100%; they are not tenure-track appointments.  Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.  To ensure full consideration, application materials must be received by April 4, 2022, but applications will be accepted through April 25, 2022.  Applications should be submitted through https://jobs.uic.edu/job-board/job-details?jobID=161401&job=lecturer-mat... applications will be accepted by surface mail or e-mail.
