The 28th Annual Conference will be held at Rosen Centre Hotel located in Orlando, Florida on International Drive. We are excited to gather with AMTE members for this annual event. AMTE Conference hotel room block is still available. You can make your reservation using the dedicated reservation link.
Information about transportation from Orlando International Airport (airport code MCO) is available on the airport website. Program information will be updated over the next few weeks and a final program will be posted by January. A draft agenda is posted on the AMTE Conference website.

Conference Highlights
Thursday – February 8th
Opening Session begins at 8:15 a.m. Coffee will be provided. There are several breakfast options in the hotel. Lunch will be provided, and light snacks will be available during the afternoon poster session; these are included in the registration fee. Dinner is on your own.
Session highlights
- The Opening Session will begin at 8:15 a.m. titled "Critical Conversations: AMTE Standards for Preparing Teachers of Mathematics in Social and Political Contexts." The panelists include Jenny Bay Williams, University of Louisville; Liza Bondurant, Mississippi State University; Yvonne Lai, University of Nebraska-Lincoln; Richard Velasco, University of Oklahoma; and Eva Thanheiser (moderator), Portland State University.
- The Advocacy session will be held during lunch on Thursday.
- The annual Poster Session will take place on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served during this session.
Friday – February 9th
Breakfast, lunch, and light snacks during the afternoon break will be provided and are included with the registration fee. Dinner is on your own.
Session highlights
- Gather with your affiliate members during the Affiliate breakfast beginning at 7:00 a.m.
- AMTE Business meeting will be held during lunch at 11:45 a.m.
- Beginning at 5:15 p.m., the Judith Jacobs Lecture titled “Navigating Oz: My Journey with Three Essential Companions” will be given by Dorothy Y. White, Professor of Mathematics Education at the University of Georgia.
Saturday – February 10th
Breakfast and lunch are included with the registration fee.
