AMTE 2022 Annual Conference Information

Make your plans now to attend the 2022 AMTE Annual Conference in Henderson, Nevada, near Las Vegas, on February 10-12, 2022.

The AMTE Conference Committee is excited about the upcoming conference! The hotel and conference facility on Lake Las Vegas away from the strip are beautiful, and there are many sites to see and wonderful places to eat in the Las Vegas area in the evenings. Come reunite with your math education colleagues!

Some of the highlighted conference sessions include:

  • Opening Session: The opening session, What are our responsibilities to mathematics teacher education in this moment?, will take place Thursday morning.
  • Poster Session: The AMTE poster session will be held Friday afternoon.
  • Judith E. Jacobs LectureFriday's featured session will be presented by Sandra Crespo, Professor of Mathematics Education and Associate Chair of Graduate Education at Michigan State University.
  • The Business Meeting will occur during Saturday's lunch.

Please join us for the following meals, breaks, and receptions:

  • Coffee and tea will be served prior to the Opening Session on Thursday morning; the hotel has several options for breakfast on your own.
  • On Thursday, lunch and afternoon break will be provided; dinner is on your own. 
  • Immediately after the last sessions on Thursday, the Reception for Graduate Students and Early Career Faculty will be held.
  • On Friday, breakfast, lunch, and afternoon break will be provided; dinner is on your own.
  • On Saturday, breakfast and lunch will be provided.

The conference hotel, Hilton Lake Las Vegas Resort and Spa, in Henderson, Nevada, is surrounded by the Mojave’s mountains and desert and adjacent to a Tuscan-inspired village with a marina, shops, water sports, and a nearby golf course. The hotel room rate is $159 for a room with single or double occupancy plus $10 reduced resort fee that includes the following:

This is a decrease from the $209 room cost in Phoenix. Make your reservation by Tuesday, November 30, 2021 to get our special conference room rates. The reservation link is on the conference website. Please be aware that the conference room block may be sold out early. Once the room block is full, the hotel will accept reservations at the prevailing rate and only on a space-available basis. We encourage you to reserve your room soon!

Conference registration is now available on the AMTE conference website. Registration fees vary by deadline date. The regular registration deadline is November 30, 2021. Early registration, at reduced rates, is available through September 30th. We will not offer on-site registration; you must register prior to the conference.
