The Winter 2023 issue includes a special call for Connections manuscripts focusing on AI in mathematics teacher education. Read about mathematics teacher educators’ collaborative efforts to design and implement a learning progression as well as a strategy for reducing negative self-talk within class sessions. Many thanks to our outgoing Executive Director, Shari Stockero, and included are plans for this role. You will find information on the upcoming annual conference, along with tips for making everyone feel welcome. Read about 2024 Award recipients, who will be recognized at the upcoming conference, as well as the accomplishments of the Get the Facts Out project focused on teacher recruitment. The STaR Program provides updates, along with those from CITE-Math journal, podcasts, affiliates, and the Membership Division.

 The Fall 2023 issue includes a message from our President about AMTE’s progress toward its current long-term goals as well as a survey link for feedback on the next set of long-term goals. Information on the upcoming annual conference is shared, with early registration available through Sept. 29. Read about the 2024 Award recipients, who will be recognized at the upcoming conference, and one faculty member’s experience with the Get the Facts Out initiative focused on teacher recruitment. You will also find the call for a new Mathematics Teacher Educator editor, along with information on applying to the 2024 Cohort of the STaR Program. Also included are updates from the CITE-Math journal, STaR Program fundraising, podcasts, Tech Talk Blog, affiliates, and the Professional Development Committee.

The President’s Message challenges us to consider equitable uses of technology and ways to leverage technology to humanize mathematical learning experiences.
