In the Fall 2021 issue, AMTE’s President shares ways our community can find inspiration from perspectives in children’s books. Also included are articles focusing on reshaping assessment practices in a methods course, developing prospective teachers’ understandings of mathematics as a human endeavor, using local data to improve outcomes on licensure exams, and implementing a community-centered approach in methods courses. Information is provided on the upcoming AMTE Conference, so be sure to check out the approaching registration deadlines. Our Summer 2021 issue includes a message from AMTE’s President about the importance of resting, reflecting, and growing as a mathematics teacher education community. Also shared are upcoming opportunities for leadership in AMTE, along with an interesting and insightful collection of articles and videos from current and past leaders describing their experiences and providing tips. You will find highlights from the recent AMTE Annual Conference as well as the Call for Proposals for the 2022 Annual Conference. This issue also provides updates from the CITE-Math and Mathematics Teacher Educator journals and from several Affiliates, along with information on how to join the Mathematics Teacher Education Partnership program.
