The Annual AMTE Conference provides inclusive opportunities for a diverse community of mathematics educators to share current research and practice findings.
At a Glance
- Conference begins with a plenary session at 8:00 AM on Thursday, February 8, 2018.
- Conference sessions run all day Thursday and Friday, and during the morning on Saturday.
- The conference ends at about 1:15 PM on Saturday after the lunch and business meeting.
- The following meals are included in the conference registration fee:
- Thursday: Breakfast, lunch, afternoon break (dinner is on your own)

Margaret (Peg) Smith is a Professor Emeritus at the University of Pittsburgh. Over the past two decades she has been developing research-based materials for use in the professional development of mathematics teachers and studying what teachers learn from the professional development in which they engage.

About the Conference Proposal Process
The deadline for proposals to present at the 2018 Annual AMTE Conference was May 15, 2017, with email notification to accepted presenters sent on August 30, 2017.
