Involvement of members is vitally important in furthering AMTE’s Mission to promote mathematics teacher education. Service roles include committee membership, conference support, publication submission review, and task force membership. Thank you for your interest and willingness to serve the community.

About the Volunteer Process

  • Serving AMTE requires you to maintain a current membership.
  • If you are interested in contributing to AMTE as a committee member, please complete and submit the form below by September 4.
  • Service appointments for the upcoming year will be made in the fall.
  • Those not selected for service roles are encouraged to submit this form each year.

  • To volunteer as a journal reviewer, you may also visit the MTE and CITE reviewer sign-up pages.
  • AMTE divisions conduct most of their work via email, conference calls, and web-based meetings. Face-to-face meetings are usually arranged to coincide with members’ attendance at the annual AMTE, NCTM, or other meetings.
